Phase 3 Study of Nexavar in Combination with the Agents Gemcitabine and Cisplatin
Study Design: Randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled trial
Patients: Stage IIIb-IV non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients of all histologies who have not received prior systemic anticancer treatment
Purpose: To determine the effectiveness of Nexavar plus the chemotherapeutic agents gemcitabine and cisplatin when compared to the chemotherapeutic agents alone by assessing the difference in overall survival and disease progression, as well as to evaluate other measures of efficacy and safety

Patients: Patients with refractory non-small cell lung cancer who have progressed after at least two prior chemotherapy regimens

Purpose: To determine the effectiveness of Nexavar plus Alimta when compared to Alimta alone by assessing the difference in overall survival and disease progression, as well as to evaluate other measures of efficacy and safety

Purpose: To determine the effectiveness of Nexavar plus pemetrexed and carboplatin when compared to pemetrexed and carboplatin alone by assessing the difference in disease progression and overall survival, as well as to evaluate other measures of efficacy and safety
